AFC affirms Nepali players' inclusion in match-settling

The Asian Football Confederation today affirmed the Asian overseeing body composed with Nepal Police and Sportradar Security Services in capturing five Nepali footballers responsible for match settling.

"On the back of long haul cooperation between the AFC, Sportradar Security Services and Nepal Police, the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Crime Division captured five Nepali players, previous and present, connected to match-settling this week," the AFC said in a discharge.

"The procedure prompting the captures started when suspicious wagering examples were recognized on various matches played by the Nepali national group. The Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Crime Division on Wednesday captured five Nepali players — national group captain Sagar Thapa, bad habit chief Sandip Rai, goalkeeper Ritesh Thapa and previous guards Anjan KC and Bikash Singh Chhetry — responsible for collecting an enormous measure of cash through match settling.
