Tribhuvan International Airport is a universal air terminal in Kathmandu, Nepal. The airplane terminal is around six kilometers from the downtown area, in the Kathmandu valley. It is the sole universal airplane terminal in Nepal, however Nijgadh International Airport has been proposed as a moment. The airplane terminal has filled in as a landing strip since 1949, and was initiated in 1955 by King Mahendra. It got its present name in 1964.
